Excerpts from A Midsummer Night's Dream

Now,, fair Helena, will you return to the work you have to do? The king has come, and he is waiting for you. Your father is here, and so is your friend. The night is dark, and the woods are full of magic. Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. Nor hath love's mind of any judgment taste; Wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste. And therefore is love said to be a child, Because in choice he is so oft beguiled. As they did leave their sport, and sit them down to rest, The fairy Queen, with her attendant nymphs and goblins, dances merrily among the trees, casting spells of enchantment over all beneath the moon. Oberon, the king of the fairies, plots to win the love of Titania, the fairy queen, by using the magic flower's juice. Meanwhile, the lovers are entangled in confusion, love's magic leading them astray. The night reveals its secrets in whispers and shadows, full of enchantment and confusion, as the spell of love takes hold of all who wander in the woods.
