Reading Passage
Letters from Yorkshire
The brown in my fields is the brown in her hair,
She lives on the moors, where the cold winds blow,
Watching the seasons change with a quiet stare,
Her words are gentle as the falling snow.
From our different worlds, yet I understand,
In her silence, there's a story told,
Of distant hills and shifting sand,
Of love that’s warm despite the cold.
I send her my words across the miles,
Letters filled with hopes and dreams,
Hoping she’ll read between the lines,
And find the warmth in my silent screams.
Her life is simple, yet so profound,
A quiet strength in every glance,
Through written words, our hearts are bound,
In this distant, tender dance.
