In his darkroom he is finally alone with spools of suffering set out in ordered rows. The only light is red and softly glows, As, with careful hands, he develops the images, Battles and bombs, the pain, the tears, the cries. He is haunted by the faces, the eyes filled with terror, Frozen in time, yet forever vivid. He sees the scenes over and over, each a story of despair, Captured moments turned into silent prayers. His job is to expose the truth, to make the world see, But each image weighs heavy, etched into his memory. He drinks a glass, seeking solace or maybe forgetfulness, Images burn through his mind, a relentless reminder. His life balances between duty and guilt, A silent observer of humanity’s darkest hours.
