Analysis of 'When We Two Parted'

In silence and tears, half broken-hearted, To sever for ever what we loved, and yet, what once parted, No second union shall meet above. Your vows are all broken, and light is thy fame; I hear thy name spoken, and share in its shame. I-died for thee many times — I own it; I seared with the sense of thine unkindness. The memory of what we did, what we saw, Still burns in my soul, deep and raw. The passions that once burned bright now fade, leaving only the echo of a love betrayed. The cold wind blows through the empty halls of my heart, whispering secrets of a love lost to time. The silence between us grows heavier with each passing day, as I remember what was and what could have been. It is a pain that I carry silently, hidden beneath a facade of calm, yet inside, the storm rages on.
