A
Reading Passage
There once was an egg named Gerald who dreamed of becoming an astronaut. While all the other eggs were content sitting in their carton, waiting to become omelettes or boiled delicacies, Gerald gazed up at the kitchen ceiling, imagining it as the Milky Way.
He trained daily — rolling back and forth in the carton to improve his core strength and aerodynamics. The toast soldiers mocked him, calling him “crackpot,” but Gerald didn’t mind. He knew that one day, someone would build a rocket out of an empty paper towel roll and send him to space… or at least to the top shelf of the fridge, which was the highest any egg had ever gone.
And you know what? He made it. He didn’t crack under pressure.
