Analysis of Imtiaz Dharker's Poetry
I think of a voice and I invert it, turn it upside down, so the words tumble out in a different direction. My voice is a mirror, reflecting a thousand different images, each one a fragment of my identity. I shape the words carefully, like clay on a potter's wheel, molding them to fit my meaning. The rhythm of my voice is a heartbeat, steady and persistent, echoing in the silence of the page. Sometimes, I pause, a breath held in anticipation, before the next line flows like a stream, clear and unstoppable. Each line is a step into the unknown, a journey through my thoughts and feelings, captured in the delicate balance of sound and silence. I am the poet, the painter, the storyteller, weaving my truths into the fabric of language.
