"On the night of July 17, 1918, the Romanov family was taken to the basement of the Ipatiev House. I was among the guards assigned to oversee the execution. The firing squad entered, and chaos ensued as shots rang out. The Tsar, Alexandra, and their children were shot multiple times, and the room was filled with the sound of gunfire and screams. Afterward, the bodies were hurriedly buried in a nearby forest, and the site was kept secret for many years. The event was brutal and swift, ending the Romanovs' reign abruptly."
