Source A: The Reign of Ramses II

"Ramses II, known as Ramses the Great, was one of Egypt’s most powerful and celebrated pharaohs. His reign lasted for over 60 years, during which he expanded Egypt’s borders, built numerous temples and monuments, including the famous Abu Simbel temples, and promoted Egypt’s culture and religion. Ramses II was also known for his military campaigns, which helped secure Egypt’s control over Canaan and parts of Libya. Many statues and inscriptions depict him as a mighty warrior and divine ruler. His legacy was one of strength, grandeur, and prosperity, and he was often regarded as the greatest of Egypt’s pharaohs.
